Step 1: The Free Consultation
Every Blues Home Services holiday lighting installation begins with a free consultation. We visit your property and walk it with you — assessing trees, roofline, ground features, and your overall vision for the lighting. During the consultation, we agree on tree wrapping spacing (so every tree is wrapped to the same specification), plan the roofline strand layout, select clip types appropriate for your roofline material, and discuss lighting options.
The consultation is where questions get answered before installation day: How tight do you want the tree wrap? Which trees get wrapped? Does the roofline include the full eave or selected sections? Are there ground features like shrubs, columns, or entry gates to illuminate? No surprises on installation day.
Step 2: Installation Day
On installation day, Blues Home Services arrives with the equipment, lighting, and crew planned during the consultation. Trees are wrapped first to the agreed spacing spec — consistent density, uniform horizontal spacing from base to top. Roofline strands are then installed section by section using the clip type appropriate for your roofline material. Eave alignment is checked across the full roofline to ensure every strand is consistent.
Ground features — entry pillars, shrubs, water features, or pathway lighting — are completed after roofline work. Final walkthrough with the homeowner confirms everything matches the plan. Most Scottsdale residential installations are completed in a single day.
Step 3: Removal and Storage
Blue Home Services returns in January for removal. Lights are taken down carefully, wound neatly, and packed for storage. If we supplied the lights, we manage storage. If you supplied them, they are returned in organized condition for next season.
