What WiFi App Control Provides
The WiFi-connected control hub installed with every Blues Home Services permanent LED system connects to your home network during installation. Once connected, the companion smartphone app (iOS and Android) gives you full control of the LED system from anywhere with an internet connection — whether you're home on the couch or traveling internationally.
From the app, you can change the active color across the full roofline, select from pre-programmed holiday scenes (Christmas, Halloween, Independence Day, and others), create and save custom scenes, adjust brightness, and set schedules that activate automatically at sunset or any custom time. A 16 million color palette means the color options are effectively unlimited — standard warm white for everyday evening accent lighting, school or team colors for game days, or any custom combination.
Remote Control and Scheduling
Remote control is one of the most-valued features for Arizona homeowners who travel during winter — when Scottsdale holiday season is in full effect. The ability to schedule your holiday lighting from anywhere means your home looks occupied and festive whether you're present or not. Set a Christmas scene to activate at 5 PM and deactivate at midnight, switch to a New Year's Eve sequence for December 31st, or turn everything off remotely in seconds if needed.
Scheduling eliminates manual control for routine lighting. Most Arizona clients set a warm-white evening lighting schedule for standard nights and manually activate holiday scenes for specific events. The app change takes seconds from anywhere in the world.
Technical Requirements and Setup
The WiFi control hub requires a standard 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz home WiFi network. Blues Home Services configures the hub during installation and ensures the app is fully set up on your smartphone before leaving the property. Most installations are ready for remote app control the day of installation.
The hub uses your home network; it does not require any additional monthly service or subscription for standard operation. Cloud-based remote access uses an encrypted connection.
