Before the Crew Arrives
Professional window cleaning requires minimal homeowner preparation. Remove small items from windowsills — candles, plants, decorative objects — to speed the process. Ensure gates are unlocked and pets are secured away from service areas. If you have screens, they'll be removed, cleaned separately, and reinstalled during service.
If you prefer specific windows to stay closed for privacy during interior cleaning, communicate this at the start. The crew will plan the route accordingly.
What Happens During Service
Interior cleaning begins with a dry wipe of frames and tracks to remove loose debris before any moisture is introduced. Glass is then cleaned with professional squeegee technique and biodegradable solution, followed by a purified de-ionized water rinse that eliminates residue as it dries.
Exterior windows are cleaned outside-in, starting with upper-floor windows using water-fed poles for multi-story access. Ground-floor windows receive close-up squeegee work. Hard water stains receive targeted pre-treatment. Screens are cleaned with a soft brush before reinstallation.
After Service — and the Warranty
A professional crew does a final walkthrough to verify every window meets standard before leaving. Don't hesitate to point out any area you'd like re-examined — quality service should be exactly right before the crew departs.
Blues Home Services provides a 6-week weather warranty on all window cleaning: if a monsoon storm or weather event dirties your windows within 6 weeks of service, we return and re-clean at no charge.
